I have PS2 V12 and have a ***4 installed. I don't know how to get the elf to load from disc. I did a proper image with nero form cue file so the boot image is good. But I cannot get it to read from browser. It asks for a ps2 disc. I tried a cd-r and dvd-r and both wont boot.
I am soo new at this so spare me please. Should my boot cd-r boot so I can follow on screen instructions or do I need to add an application to this boot cd-r like launchelf or is that only for HD loading?
Basically I hame a home brew chip ***4 --> since I only want to play back ups (cd-r and dvd-r) do I want to install bios with ELF boot or CD-Boot??? thes are the only 2 options in installation instructions.
if it is cd-boot I need then I have other issues. My boot disc is 100% burned correct from cue file in nero and does not load/boot. I tried many time with a buttons on controller while poer up/boot. This may suggest I have a wire routing issue or something in the installation. NOTE: I cannot load a origional game either. I did get it to read onne and play fine so that tells me that I didn't fry the pstwo when installing the chip. But it won't boot unless I get error for cd-r bin/cue (install a ps2 com disc) and then pop the game-> then GAME will boot fine and play 100%. Otherwise my orig games are not loading after chipping either. I called the place where got ***4 and he said it is from not having bios loaded onto ***4. I'm starting to have my doubts on the root cause and maybe I should re do chip wiring. So have told me today ps2 installs are finiky on wire routing with ground and crossing wires. I didn't make wires not cross and stuff. Is this a real issue???
Ne help on correct direction to head would be mucho appriciated.
