If your just using DVD Decrypter, use it in ISO mode.

ISO Read R, then ISO Write W.

Ok when you rip a dvd with Decrypter in ISO mode you'll get an .iso file and a .mds file

To burn it open decrypter -> click mode -> ISO Write W -> then browse and select the .mds file -> then set the burn speed to 4x or 2.4x

You are doing a movie that is smaller than 4.36GB's right?

Hi Flip,
Maybe you can help. I have been using DVD Shrink and decrypter since Oct. Had several problems at the begining but got myself a new plextor burner, branded GOn4 media and away I went. Then I wanted to try Nero so I used shrink with Nero, again no problems. Haven't burned in a month and Nero expired so I changed the settings and used shrink with decrypter. Shrink did a great job but decrypter came up with an I/O error message. I tried to burn again, decrypter got a little further but error again. I tried another dvd, same problem, twice. Here is one of the error messages:
I/O error
Device [1:1:0] Plextor dvdr px-712 1.03(E) (ATA)
SCSI Status 0x02
Interpretation- check condition
CDB:2A 00 00 14 D5 C0 00 00 20 00
Interpretation Write (10) sectors: 1365440-1365471
Sense Area
Interpretation : Command Sequence Error

Any Suggestions?

2002z06,

Only thing I can suggest is run Nero's InfoTool and check your aspi layer.

@nailedny,

An I/O error could still be a number of things. You also could try installing an aspi layer.

Thanks Flip. I've been reading about aspi layers and I will give it a shot. I did uninstall my burner and rebooted. I will be back.
