no you can't a backup of swapmagic won't self boot just like your backup games won't self boot

Hey Guys-
I tried a downloded version of SwapMagic it reads the boot disk and says Please insert PS or PS 2 game disk but will not work when I rplece boot disk with backup.

I did read downloads or like you just staed backups of boot disk will not work but will it get you to that insert screen if it was not working or is it that maybe my backup is no good.

Do you have a fliptop case? Or a slide card? Because as you probably already know you cannot just push the eject button and put in the burned game, because as soon as you hit eject it just resets the Ps2.Thus the reason behind a fliptop case or slide card i recommend a fliptop case over a slide card.

Hey gillies-my cousin downloded it from kazaa I think

Deimos218- yes I made a slide card and it works I can get the disks in and out np. But when I put in the backup game it doesn't do anything. I even tried on my friends machine while I had it open (to fix tray) and noticed that the backup doesn't even spin when I put it back in.

I want to buy an original of swap magic anyway and was wondering which version ( 3.2 or 3.3) and a reliable site to purchase it from.

Just buy swap magic! Look at the bottom of it, I doubt any blank CD/DVD is like that.

You cannot have a copy of the Swap Magic discs, the discs purposly have missing tracks on the disc to trick the PS2 into thinking it's loading an actual PS2 game.

So unless you know of a way to make an IDENTICAL copy of the swap magic with missing tracks and everything, it will not work.
