ive recently bought the slim PS2... where do i start with modding?

You could start by returning that slim ps2 and picking up a non-slim version. Otherwise wait until the methods are perfected.

You could get SwapMagic v3.3. You can use that loading disk along with a quick and painless softmod to play your backups.

I believe there is 1 or 2 modchips that you could get as well. But I don't keep up much on 'em since i just use SwapMagic.

PS2LiD.COM, the lid along with swap magic discs would be a good option for starters.
