Okay...
Let's give this a try...

I am brand new to this type of stuff, and have a couple of questions...

1) I am attempting to use Adobe Premier to make photo presentations to be burnt onto DVD. So far I have been able to get to the point where I can lay a sound track and work the photos into the timeline. I can turn the project into an avi or mpeg both. When I view it on my computer it looks pretty good. I can play it on one of my DVD players, but not the other. The menu of the DVD player calls it a VCD...
How can I make this work on all DVD players?

2) Upon stumbling across this site, I have found DVD Decrypter...if I have a DVD burner in my computer, what do I have to do once I rip the DVD files so that I can back up my collection?

read the image as an ISO........then burn it as an ISO (using DVD decryptor)

could be the media your using that only works in 1 player.
