I'm not familiar with the 'cog swap' method, but I am familiar with the 'knife swap', which works effectively. Now, they actually have a 'slidecard' that you can buy to do this method. However, you could always make your own. You will also need a bootdisk to make either of these methods work though. I suggest using an original copy of SwapMagic v3.3 to do the trick. You will have to take the front piece of your ps2's drive tray off to access the peg to slide it. All of this info is definetly found throughout this forum. But, if you need more info just ask.

maybee I didn't make myself clear i THOUGHT COGSWAP WAS THAST PROGRAM THAT U PUT IN TO YOUR MEMORY CARD SO IT CAN LOAD CERTAIN GAMES i ALSO THINK ITS CALLED MEMORY CARD EXPLOIT ITS ON SWAPMAGICFIX.COM

Obviously you didn't read the last part of my post, But anyway...
I believe that the 'Cogswap' method is another way of accomplishing what the 'knife swap' method does. I think it has something to do with manually turning the cog, that rotates to open the tray, a few clicks.

Cogswap loader is similar to cd/dvd loader, just not as compatible. It is used on a cd,dvd, or exploit.
