if i get pinnacle, or a dvd recorder from gateway to copy my own vhs tapes to dvd, how do i encrypt the macrovision, or can it be done?

They sell macrovision remover boxes that go inline between the VCR and the video capture device (in the video line). This will remove the macrovision on the purchased vhs tapes. Here is a site for one device. Do a search for macrovision removers and you should get several more.
