I downloaded a tv shoe off the internet. It said "Qualit:DVD-rip". when I saw the file it said .avi on my media player and it doesnt work. what can i do? do i download a certain player. I would really apreciate any help.

Not sure which media player you have, but if it's windows media player, the problem sounds simple. Pull up your player and go to tools then options. Click on the file types tab. Scroll down to .AVI If there's no check mark put one in there and click apply. Depending on the OS you have, you may have to reboot. It will tell you if you have to or not. Otherwise, that should take care of it. Hope this helps!

Try running your AVI through GSpot to identify the needed codec and whether you have it or not :)
