hi all i am a newb to this site and want to send greetings before business...... Greetings :-)

ok now after spending the morning searching through the forums here on ps2 mod chiping and such im still left with a few questions.

i have an unmoded ps2 slimline V12, i am not new the modding scene persay just new to the ps2 modding seen. heres what i need sum advice on. i would like to beable to play back up kopies of ps2 games oviously, ps1 if possible and back up dvd-r movies

i would like to get the system chipped with a chip that will not require any kinda of swap trick, tape, straws and tissue.. thngs of this nature. there is a place by my house that does the instalation so long as user provides chip so im not worried about soddering anything. ive noticed the phase hombrew poping up when refering to dms4pro and lite chips as well as few others, how does this work. a link would be great. also any suggestions on chip selection based upon my requirements would be great. thx in advance and just wanted to say i think u guys run a pretty nice site here.

Well i think the only mod chip that works on the new PSTwos is the Matrix Infinity. From what i've heard anyway, i may be wrong. So the DMS4PRO may not be the one you want to get. Besides the Matrix chips are awesome, some say it's the best.

The chip has auto boot, which means you do not need to swap anything stick any straws or tissues in anything. I haven't heard anything about homebrew with the Matrix chip so you won't have to worry about that.

thx for the reply Raiten checked up on the matrix infinity chip you refered to and kouldnt find a site saying that it was kompatable with v12.
