What type of media seems to work well with the Pioneer DVD-R 104? I've tried Memorex media and the movies lock up part way through???

are you playing them on your pioneer or a stand alone?

try traxdata or others made by ritek
try datasafe 2x (not datasafe classic)

Probably not the media; I have been using memorex for just about all my burns and all but one have worked fine, and they seem to be compatible with the set top boxes I have, panasonic rv26 and apex 3201. I'm using firmware 1.33. Pioneer and imation work fine, but were more expensive than the memorex when I bought them so I stuck with memorex.

Software that doesn't work, or decides on it's own to run all the time, sucks.

I am using the Princo 1x DVd-r. Have burned probably 50 with no issues.
