Is There A Solution To The 1M DVD Dcrypter Problem?

Correction: It's a FlaskMpeg question and does not concern DVDdcrypter.

I use DVD Shrink and burn to DVD-R and play off my modded xbox. On the rare occasion that I compress to DivX using FlashMpeg,on some dvd's after ripping (entire movie) the file size is 1M. I then have to press play/stop, set the start location then fast-foward to the end of the movie and then back up so I can set the end stop point and then compress to DivX. Most movies have large filesizes after ripping and I can just go ahead and compress without setting any start/stop locations. I'm using XP Pro without any service packs. It there a way to correct this irritiation? Thanks.
