Hey,
I bought an official copy of HDLoader and for some reason the disc is not recognised all the time which leaves me constantly reseting the console over and over again until i get lucky..
Is it the disc at fault or is is my PS2?? Is there a way to fix this?? (That preferably doenst require opening up the PS2) I dont use any Mods/Chips by the way!!
Thanks in advance!!

Does anybody know if you can make copies of HD Advance. I just bought it but I don't want to have to buy it again if it gets scratched. Does anyone know if I can make an extra copy of it.

Hey,
Cheers for the quick reply!!
1.I dont think its a fake disc i bought it of a canadian HDLoader website and it came with box and instructions etc. (Although i did end up with a fake one when i bought a hdloader set on ebay lol so bought an 'official' one!!)
2. The Harddrive is the Maxtor 120gb one that is recommended, im not sure about the PS2 compatibility but surely it wouldnt work at all if it wasn't compatible??
3. The disc doesn't seem that scratched.
Like Ryan33 said is there a way to make a backup of the disc?? Which doent need the use of a mod or swap disc etc??
Thanks in advance!!

Try cleaning your laser. I have the same problems with games sometimes and that usualy means the laser is dirty. After cleaning it i get no more problems.

use the memory card exploit and you won't need to use the hd loader discs
ps2 v4 / clear-blue flip top / sm / 160gb maxtor / mc exploit
athlon xp 2700+ / 1gb pc2700 / 256 radeon 9600 pro / nec nd-2510a / 5.1 logitech z640

Yeah, HDloader is a pressed disc. It uses the Crazy Taxi TOC to trick the ps2 into recognizing the hdloader program as a ps2 game. A dvd burner can't do this. You could back it up but you'd need some sort of swap method (knife trick, swap magice, etc).
Memory card exploit is a pain in the ass. Like twenty steps you have to do and I believe you still need a swap disc or ps1 game to get it to work.

How do the developers make PS2 pressed discs because im sure Sony wouldn't let the HDLoader developers make the disc lol.. Do they use some special Re-Writer or something??

indeed the mc exploit is the best. it's simple and free. it may seem like a lot of steps, but in the end it's completely worth it. you'll need a swap disk, poptop, ps1 game, and walallaa you're ready to put hd loader AND hd advance on to your memcard. YES it has both of them and it's freeeeee

just google "WinHIIP download" and it should find it. you won't need a faq, the program is pretty self-explanatory

i've learned recently in order to get my disk to boot good with out having to keeep resetting it, is to turn the game up on its side while booting. i have the end where you eject the disk up. i havent had to keep resetting it. works a lot better.
