boot gameshark to install HDLoader mc exploit

Can I boot from the gameshark cd, swap cog, put in copied
HDLoader CD. does anyone have the cog swap tutorial. I need to know when to put swap the cog.

Or can I use the a PS2 real game, PS utility disc for initial boot, what discs are valide HELP
