Please help i bought the original sims2 from a shop so its legit, now i wanna back it up for my brother. ive tride nero, alcohol 120% using safedisc 2/3, clone cd, i even tried making an iso file from it but when i did that( i have a benq dvd rw+cd rw combo)i put the speed on 32x and it was making or attempting to make the image at around .2kbps #$%@!!! please i need your help guys! i need a step by step guide on burning/backing up sims 2 please ive been trying for at least 10 hrs straight ive had absolutley no sleep..

my bad by the way i have the cd rom version not the dvd
softwares that i have: Nero 6 full version
Alcohol 120% full version
clonecd 5 full version
and im gonna get blind write

First of all, use the slowest burning speed you can select like (4X)
And I think the cloneCD needs uninstalled when using alcohol.

when i put it on 4x it comes up with alot of disc read errors i heard that its normal and its very slow !! like 8 hrs and 4x should b around 1000kbps lol it just duznt add up. can anyone enlighten me on dis pls.

Massive errors are indeed normal for SafeDisc. If your drive supports fast error skip you can enable that or just wait it out.
I had the best success using BlindWrite 4.57 with the following settings:
Read settings:
- Authorize the use of alternative method
- Choose nibble and read at 8x
Write settings:
- No Enhance Weak Sectors
- No autoplay enabled
- Burn DAO Pw at

thnx now i have the iso and burnt it on a disc using Nero 6 but when i put it in it just comes up withe the sims 2 logo, i read somewhere that u have to hide the cd r or use iso buster and Daemon Tools to load it up.
??????????

You need to burn the image using BlindWrite - Nero can't write the protection back to disc.
