I very much doubt that what you have is a text file. An ISO file is actually an image and can be played with something like PowerDVD OR Nero media player.
Nero offers a free 30-day trial for their full version Suite of proggys.

if you want to see what it is before you burn it, go here --> http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ and install it. Then go to your iso file and just double click it, and it will open and you can see what it is, you can ever extract the files to another location and then be able to use them, if that option is available with your files once their extracted.
