Avery:
I got Virtual Dub working on 1 PC and all is great and worked.
On a second better PC, I installed all the neccc software(for doing 16:9
DIVX DVD-CDR rips)
and all is well until I try to SAVE the first pass filename in VirtualDub,
and I immed get
this error:
"VIRTUALDUB ERROR
Job list flush failed: Permission denied"
Any idea or tips on what to do now?
Thanks,
Robert

It's "necessary" (take this from guy who doesn't speak English as his native language ;-) Anyway, pure guess: you tried to save first pass with filename that already exists.

No, sorry, not that easy. That's not it.
I think it has something to do with
codecs. But I have no evidence yet to
prove it.
Do you know if the machine HAS to have
a SCSI bus?
I installed the latest WIn ASPI but this
PC does not have a SCSI bus.I'm guessing you are
in Finland? Where? I have been there a few times
and all over the country.
Even spent 3 weeks in Keuruu.
Thanks.

The problem is definately _not_ with actual ripping, ASPI or anything like that. Just one question: did you definately keep all the files you generated on the way (VOBs, project files, etcetc)?
And our staff, including me, are from Finland, although I live in London now.

99% sure all is there. I have kept all
files and know where they all reside.
I have installed all the software that
the 16:9 DIVX instructions said to use.
I also have done this whole procedure with 100%
success on my OTHER PC, so I know how to do it and I know that it works.
I should mention that VirtualDub will start
and save a file fine if the box marked
"add operation to job list and defer processing"
is NOT checked, but if it IS checked(like it needs to be), then I IMMEDIATELY get the "Job list flush failed Permission denied" error
I am just surprised and perplexed by this error.
Not sure what to do next.
Thanks,
Robert
