How do i burn a movie to a dvd disc I've downloaded from limewire????

Ok so far I've got the movie downloaded to my pc,( Garfield no accounting for taste is there ?) how do now burn it to a blank dvd disc nero wont do it ive yelled and cursed at it , to no avail !!! ive even tried to use the windows xp method and its still laughing at me !!
so where am i going wrong ?????????
please help someone

ok i think the the format is a dvdrip.xvid-dvl.shareconnector
if that makes any sense cos it dont to me
p.s (didnt know you werent supposed to display email addy's i'll do 50 lines and go to the back of the class )
hope to hear from someone soon so i can pursue my lifes dream lol
