Now, I have searched around, and i found this
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/60494
which will probably help me out later.

However the first friggin step on this guide
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/divx_to_vcd_page_2.cfm
says to:
Quote:
Next, go to Audio menu and check that Direct stream copy is selected -- if not, select it. After you've done that, go to File menu again and select Save WAV...
Now, there is a video tab with that option, but no audio tab... Is there a current guide, or some possible alternative steps using this version of virtualdubmod?

Thanks

Well, I decided to move on and just select the "direct stream copy" from the video menu.

Moving onto the next step, it says to:
Quote:
go to File menu again and select Save WAV....
Well, there is a save as, no "save wav", so i try that, and it then says:
Quote:
Save as type: dropdown, select All files (*.*). Then enter an easy-to-remember filename for your audio with correct extension -- if your audio is in Ogg Vorbis, use extension .ogg or if your audio is in AC3, use extension .ac3
Well, thats nice, in this version, I can't save it as "all files" for file type. Only as a ".AVI, .ogm, or .mkv" Ok, this guide really isnt any good to me If the software they prompt you to download has been updated.

Im sure it can do the same thing, but for a stupid ass newbie (me), this complicates things some...

Any advice? Or a more up to date walkthrough for this version that still has the intention of the ultimate goal to convert an AVI to VCD?

All this because the movie I'm trying to convert decides to not use MP3 for the audio... ::shakes head::

Anyone? Thanks a Ton!
