Hello labrat1,I have the I/o magic Idvd16dd.Internal. My pc,Nero,and DVD Shrink recognize it as a benq-1610.Must have been built by benq.It's burning pretty sweet at 4x and 8x.Even at 12x by accident. The best part, My one problematic stand alone will play everything off this new burner,unlike my khypermedia.Verbatim +4x,+8x,Maxell -4x,and teon +8x "ricohjpn-01 are all performing well with this burner.All my media is 1st or 2nd class media.
