MPT v3.0 wont synch with Outlook 2000

I have a brand new v710, and am pulling my hair out trying to get it to synch with my Outlook 2000. This is on a corporate network. My pc is running W2k sp4 on a W2K domain. I've talked with Moto Tech support 4 times now and they are unable to get it working. Originally i had my Outlook reading from the corporate sever, but have since changed that to .PST files on my pc. I've reinstalled the MPT since making that change in Outlook, but when I go through the Synchronization wizard, and get to the Data Source page, I don't have Outlook as a choice for Contacts or Calendar, only Outlook Express or Phone Tools.
The only thing I can think is that somehow, the Microsoft Activesync, which I was using to synch my Jornada before it died and I got the v710, is causing some sort of lock on Outlook. I've uninstalled Activesync, and reinstalled MPT after that, but still no luck. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
