I'm hoping somebody can help me figure this out... there's some kind of copy protection, but how to get around it..?

I recently got the CSI Season 3 DVD Set (6 discs)... Yes original, R1.
I tried watching them on the PC, but no luck initially. I then discovered that only Disc 6 (with extras and some PC features I think) was recognized ok, but that's the only one. This was all on my LG GSA-4081B... ok so I figure maybe it is a drive or burner problem, and I try it in an old Samsung drive same thing. I went to my friends and checked in his 1999 Matshita (aka Panasonic) drive.... it reads Disc 1 no prob! So I borrow the drive, go home and read disc 1 to the HD with DVD Decrypter. Disc 2 goes in and of course can't be read by any of my drives. I have no idea why the Matshita drive reads disc 1 and not the others, but after several reboots it still won't read them.

It is not likely a software issue b/c the drives simply don't acknowledge that there is a disc in the drive. They spin for a bit trying to read, then 3 quiet "clicks" and then they just stop. It suggests some kind of error burned in to prevent drives (at firmware level) from recognizing the disc?

Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated!
