HDLoader free breaks with DVD?

Hi guys after reading this forum I created myself a memory card exploit and together with a PS1 game I was able to load a free copy of HD Loader onto my PS2 via the memory card. I installed a 120GB Samsung harddrive and everything worked fine for a couple of days. i ripped games on to it and played with no problems whatsoever. However on the 4th day I decided to watch a DVD - this turned out to be a bad move. The next day after taking my PS2 home I found the HD Loader couldnt detect the harddrive. I tried everything from re installing the exploit to using a propper version of HD Loader but nothing works! When I load up I get a hardware error saying the harddrive can't be found. Does anyone know why this is? Could it be anything to do with my watching a dvd? My PS2 works fine by itself - my network adaptor is still working cos i can play online games, and the harddrive is working cos i managed to format it off my pc yesterday :( Anyone got any ideas why this is? Please help this is the most screwed up situation to be in. Cheers
