I have a chipped ps2 v5 and I usually use execftps on a cd-r that I burned. I was wondering if there was a way I could have it boot from the memory card without using a cd? Maybe like if I hold down a certain button on the controller then power up the ps2 it will go into the mem card and let me launch elf's from the mem card? I know they have this method using an original psx game but since my ps2 is chipped I shouldn't have to use this the psx disc. thanks

i have a matrix infinity... and its easy!

1- Boot with execftps cd and ftp to ps2
2- create a folder BOOT into memory card 0 ( mc/0/BOOT )
3- rename execftps.elf to BOOT.ELF
4- upload this BOOT.ELF to BOOT folder
5- when restart, press R1 to boot from MC

i did the same ... but i upload hd advance (renamed to boot.elf) instead execftps
