Harddrive format for hdloader

If im putting a windows NTFS harddrive into my PS2 to use with HD Loader do I have to format it to a particular format? If so which one and is there a program out there that will do the job.

the program WinHIIP will format your drive to the appropriate file system.

Ok thanks. Assume I put the drive formatted as NTFS into my PS2. Will HDLoader recognise it?

i'm not positive because i used WinHIIP to format it, if it doesn't recognize it put it back in your pc and use WinHIIP to format it properly
