Help-Converters and Burners for AVI to DVD

Noob here and I need to know a good converter. I need it to be able to convert and burn in the same program without any file changes I have used WinAVI and it doesnt come out right it burns and converts but it doesnt like to play without tracking also I have tried DVD Santa which is Great but I have next to no RAM on my computer so it freezes almost everytime So if anyone knows a good converter and burner in one please post it.

Cucusoft is one of the best options out there, it does an awesome job. However, to make your life easier boost your RAM especially when working with DVD conversion.

How much RAM/what type are you running?

I have used cucusoft although have not been able to get the additional burner for it and I am running 128 MB SDR RAM and VCD hasnt worked for me but DVD SANTA HAS
