MPT mp3 transfer error- please help!

Hey, I have a Motorola v400 and Motorola Phone Tools v3.11. I am trying to transfer mp3s and pictures to my phone. I have the data cable and the MPT software works fine. Ive updated my phonebook etc from the computer software.

Whenever I try to transfer a MP3... it gives me error messages like Media Center has encountered an error and must be shut down, or simply it does nothing. Whenever the Media menu opens... My PC and My phone screens.... the two buttons in the middle (the PC to Phone and Phone to PC) buttons do not highlight even when I click a file. I try to right click files and hit copy to phone but this does not work.

Ive heard to use phone browser, but can someone help me? Thanks so much, Ive also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software and I get the same problem
