I'm also having same problems with latest Nero6 ultra software creating dvds. Ive tried all of suggested ideas listed here.
Different errors burning to dvd and to disk file. No file produced burning to disk file. Unplayable dvd produced burning to dvd-r(coaster). Appreviated error messages below.
Computer is P4 2.8 hyperthread 800 FSB 1G memory 24+GB free on drive. DVD is Sony dru510A with latest firmware 1.1A which is functioning properly by sony's drive check program (another dvd-r coaster).
Original nero program worked with sony dru510A creating dvd from File.mpg 's recorded from ATI "all in wonder" 7500 TV capture. I believe win XP sp2 broke this setup.
Updating with nero update files at that time fixed problem and was able to again burn capture files to dvd-r which again played fine in computers and set top dvd player. Setup again broke.
Uninstalled all nero programs with their clean tools and reinstalled from original nero cd and then updated to all most current versions (as of 12Dec04}. This helped in that the program falls in half the time (3+ hrs.) but unfortunately produces a coaster rather than the 6+hrs of previous updates and no coaster. I can post entire error log if needed but very long.
