Try doing it the other way around.

I did it with shrink first then decrypter and it worked fine.

It worked with Dodgeball,Collateral, and I-Robot as well.

Thanks Scuba Pete.

Hi there jhnchang, welcome to aD,

Mantle7 is correct BUT first off, I'd like you to check your DVD Decrypter's settings. First, it should be version 3.5.1.0. Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove IFO/BUP PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO, Read Mode", "tick" "Remove IFO/BUP PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is an excellent setting for dealing with lightly scratched discs which may cause ripping problems.

With this "fine-tuned" DVD Decrypter you'll be able to rip almost everything. However with some DVD's, the Mfgr's are trying something "New" -

So AFA the Bourne Supremacy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and one or two others - In "Unreferenced materials" select title 1 menus, there is a "Boy" running (in green shorts too). By checking him out in the "Preview" screen, you can see his outfit too. Sometimes DVD Shrink gets past it sometimes not -

If you don't make it past it then go to that Unreferenced materials select Title 1 menus - Then go to "Compression" select "Custom Ratio" then select "Still image" then try DVD Shrink again, it should slide right on through, like a hot knife through tender Turkey -

Cheers,

Pete

Pssst Mantle7, you might want to copy the above so when the next time comes, and you can bet it will, all you need to do is "Paste" in the solution. You're doing good :)

You shouldn't have trouble if you just did the "title 1 menu" that's the running guys home -

I just went into my livingroom and put my copy of Bourne Sumpremacy in my standalone and went from beginning to end, chapter by chapter - give it a try -

Pete

This has been discussed many times, I had the same problem....what I did was Re-Author the DVD through DVD Shrink and just added the main feature. I didn't add extra features or main menu and just the actual feature, and it worked fine. If you don't mind the other little things not being on the DVD then this is a quick fix.

I've come across this same problem and followed Scuba Pete's DVD Decrypter "fine tuning" and still can't get it to burn with DVD Shrink 3.2. I'm confused when it says
In - "Unreferenced materials" select title 1 menus, there is a "Boy" running (in green shorts too)". When I go to unreferenced material I only see options for languages. Maybe I'm doing something stupid, but I don't see it. Please help.

I reauthored in Shrink 3.2 and am able to do just the movie, but I would like to know for future references how to do it with a menu.

Thanks

DVD SHRINK 3.1 did nothing for me. Any other ideas? I thought i could burn with just using the main movie in re-author, but it ended up not working.

I FINALLY GOT IT. I opened DVD Decrypter first and went throught the motions after doing scuba Pete's "fine tuning" and then opened DVD Shrink 3.2. I then re-authored and used only the main movie and backed up using DVD Decrypter to burn. That's all. It worked, but I have no menu. This movie is so good I don't care. I'm just glad I got it. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for all your help!!

dvdripdvd,

Lose the "Caps" there son - We consider it as "Shouting" and "Rude".

- Plain English works just fine -

I had no trouble backing-up Bourne Supremacy.
I used DVD Decrypter to rip it to the harddrive, DVD Shrink in re-author mode to take only the main title and Nero 6.6 to burn it.
I can't tell the difference in quality to the original......fantastic.
