I like slide card better, since all uneed to do is slide the tray out. With flip top u have to unscrew the entire ps2 console n plug it back, jeez.

But with the flip top it won't destroy the disc drive if you do it wrong, and it also lengthens the life of it compared to the slide card. Because with the slide card you have to 'force' the tray to come out therefore going against what it was meant to do. With the flip top you just open the top....not touch anything and close it and hit X, easy. But it's all a matter of preference, either one will do the trick.

dude i dont force the tray to come out. When i slide, the tray comes out. I would call it manually open the tray isntead of letting the ps2 do it automatically. So there is no damage to the tray or the disc neither. Because the lasser stops reading the disc after reading the swap magic dvd for a while. SO there is no damage to the laser neither.
ALl u have to do is slide it slow.

I probably should have clarified, it can damage the mechanics of the drive. I've read that some peoples tray won't even eject normally anymore. It still works but if you plan on using the eject button don't be surprised it the tray won't open after you've used the slide card numerous times. I'm not deterring anyone or anything, cuteperv prefers the card, i prefer the flip top. Like i said, it's all a matter of personal preference :P
