snes emulator working on Hdadvance

I figured out a way to use the snes emulator for ps2 hdadvance. I'm sure there is a easier way to do it(I'm trying to find it online) but this way requires you swap to a rom disk when snes is up and working on your hdadvance.

1.load up hdadvance (cdversion) and convert snes emulator using the fliptop. For those of you that don't have a flip top, you could open your ps2 system to install snes emulator, and then close it up again.

2.When you load up hdadvance you have to use the cd version. When you run snes emulator, the title screen comes up empty. Press the eject button and insert your snes emulator cd disk (you could make a separate disk with more roms to read) and it should read the roms.

Basically what this does, is it only installs the snes emulator with no roms. So you just swap the disk with a rom folder full of all your rom needs. It beats the hell out of swapping with swapmagic because my playstation has problems reading it. This is also good if you have no fliptop(opening ps2 and installing)or no mod. I have gotten the genesis emulator working like this too. i believe you could also have one cd with your genesis and snes roms in there.

i had tried that method with HDL. but i couldnt work out how to get the roms disc to work. it simply wouldnt work for me.

sontyrone, I tried this a while back but are you sure the eject method works on unmodded consoles??
I cant verify it does since I have a chip and my ps2 reconises the discs anyway.

thanks for pointing that out, your right. The swap will not work if you don't have a mod, you DO need fliptop in order to make this work(unless you get a mod to just load the cd), you use the fliptop at snes title menu, push select, than x after the swap.
you could also make the swap at hdadvance(cdversion) title menu by selecting convert(to make the cd stop spinning) and use the fliptop to put the rom cd, then cancel the convert and select run snes emulator.

I'll keep experimenting to see what i can find out to make it work without fliptop or mod.
