hey i just modded my ps2 with neo 12 after i got it all back together the controllers arent working, the cd drive makes a bunch of noises that it never made b4 and i cant get it to load a thing origional or burnt copies all that comes up is the browser screen except when i put in a picture cd to see what would happen i got the red screen saying insert a ps2 disk, is it the chip or did i just ruin my ps2?

check the controller ribbon cable, and all of the wires for any bridges, especially the scex point. a multimeter helps a lot.
