Alright, I've just got a play station 2 with a modchip, and i'm a little curious and wondered if I can burn playstation 2 games and play it on there. Well, I know i can play burnt discs, now the question is. How exactly do I burn a ps2 game?! I've read many threads and I've downloaded many thigns, such as "Dvd decrypter," and, "Alchohol." Anyway, I've read others forums regarding on this situation, i believe I've gotten up to Page 102. Now, my problem is basically this. Can I put a Ps2 game within the Cd/dvd drive, and place a blank DVD-Rw within the DVD/CD Burner and just copy it? If not a DVD-RW, just tell me what dvd, and along with the steps. Now, how exactly DO i burn a ps2 game to a blank cd? I place the ps2 in the cd/dvd drive and it cannot read it, I'm unable to copy it onto the blank disc. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I've had this system for atleast 2 months now, and I've got no games thats are mine for it. Your help would be appreciated.

First find out if the ps2 game you want to back up is cd or dvd. It should say on the box or on the disc.
Now put the game in your dvd drive, start Alcohol 120% and click 'image making wizard'. Set the program to read your ps2 game and this will create an image file.
When this is complete, using alcohol select 'image burning wizard'. find the image you just created. put a dvd/cd in your burner and your away.

Alright, I've done what you said Bigmac999, but I've ran into a problem. I set the "Datatype" to playstation2, and
I just waited.. Nothing happened. I looked up at the "Cd/dvd device," exactly what should be there? What is "F:" Drive? I had put (D:) Drive and waited, nothing happen. Exactly what should I be expecting? I'm not really getting anything.

You need to select what ever drive you put your game into, so if your dvd drive is 'd drive' select that, if its 'f drive' select that. When you have selected the right drive the 'next' button will light up. If you dont know which drive it is look in 'my computer'

Some PS2 games are dual layer, meaning they are bigger than 4.7GB. You need a dual layer DVD burner to copy these. What game are you trying to copy? Go to the folder containing your game image and check to see how big the file is, just hover your cursor over the image icon and it should tell you.

Using the same disc? I dont understand. You can only put one game on one disc if thats what you mean.

How big is the game you are trying to burn? The DVD INFINTI 4.7, is that the DVD your burning to? I take it thats 4.7GB?
The 'on the fly' method is not the best as it can be risky, also your DVD writer needs to be running at double the speed of your DVD reader, I believe. Ideally you need to burn your DVD at the slowest speed possible for best reliability.

i thought the read speed had to at least double???not the write speed???i have tried using alcohol 120/nero 6/ now i am having a go with DVD Decrypter, just keep getting the same message. also do you know how to create an image onto the hard with Nero 6,will Nero split the image if over 4GB?i am using fat32 and this can only handle 4gb at a time,i have been told DVD Decrypter will automatically split the file when reading, then join them back up when writing.having lots of problems at the minute, cant burn jack diddly squat.
