I just modded my PS1 today 12/17/04 with an ABSOLUTE STEALTH MOD CHIP and I am having massive problems.

When I boot up the PS1 with an original, burned, or import game it goes to the please insert a playstation disc screen. I know for a fact that I soldered everything perfectly, I checked even with a magnify glass, so I am almost possitve that that is not the problem. I even resoldered everything again, and nothing. I then took off the mod chip and the ps1 works perfectly still.

The only wires I was not 100% sure about where to solder was the brown and yellow wires. Do they need to go exactly on the end of that resister, because that was a damn precise point to hit, but I did hit them before. Below is the link to see the modchip installation picture.

Could it possibly be a bad modchip? I ordered from www.psxtune.com

Thanks for looking, Evan
