I want to shoot a demo for a band. My initial thought is to use two miniDV cams. One for a wide angle/full shot of the stage which will also be fed an audio feed into the mic input from the mixing board w/ambient room mic blended in. Then the 2nd cam would be a rover, shooting individual band members/action. I'd like to keep the audio from the wide angle throughout the project as it will be decent w/the feed given, and interject shots from my rover w/the original wide-angle footage. I presume I need the audio to be seperated to do this. I have yet to figure how to do this w/the few things I've captured through firewire in the past. Can the audio be seperated from the video footage, so as to not loose the original audio when bringing in shots from the 2nd cam? Editing software I've access to is Ulead Video Studio 5, Nero Express, & Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creater 6. Thanks.
