I downloaded an divx to my computer and it plays fine. But I converted the file to an mpeg2 (svcd or something) and now when i play it on my computer, the picture is split up into three sections, and the sections are switched around. It also does the same if place a movie DVD in the dvd drive. I'm concerned that if I burn this file onto a blank dvd-r, i will be burning the scrambled version on it. Is it a problem with my computer, or codecs, or the drive, or the player, or something completely different? I looked at downloading codecs, but I don't know what exactly I'm looking for, so...Any advice?
