I see quite a few threads by people who own a Phillips 642 which is a good player by the way. I own one myself.

But I've seen nothing about the Momitsu 880 which is an awesome piece of hardware. It plays DivX, is region free, does PAL NTSC conversion. upconverts up to 1080i though component or DVI. And it supports long file names. And one thing I discovered by accident is that you can stretch or shrink your DivX image on the screen by pressing the zoom button and using the arrow keys -- perfect for anime with subtitles that sit on the bottom of the screen and appear cut off by overscanning.

The biggest drawback though, is that it goes for about $249 at HK Flix, which is the cheapesty place I found it at (that I can trust) and the 880N which is network adaptable and wireless capable (whatever I would need that for, I don't know) is $349.
