pc to tv via firewire??

I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop and a Sony KDP-65WS550 projection HDTV, and I was wondering if it is possible to use firewire to connect the two. I have some VCD's, music files and pictures that I would like to see and hear on the TV. I have hooked them up, and Windows XP Home Edition's "Found New Hardware" wizard pops up, asking for a driver for "Sony KDP-65WS550 (PAN)". The wizard is unable to locate a driver. When I check the i.link devices on the tv, it shows an unknown device. Where do I get the driver that Windows is asking for, or does one even exist? Is it even possible to connect the two with firewire?? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
