HDLoader and AR/Gameshark

I'm using a unmodded ps2, with HDloader on memory card booting off of a ps game. Does Gameshark or AR work with HDloader? I've tried codebreaker and it's not working, it hangs if you try to insert the ps1 disk to load HD loader.

Current method I've tried is insert code breaker disk, load up, select cheats (even trying no cheats), then click start game, insert ps1 disk, hit x to continue, but the game hangs at that point.

Just wanting to know if gameshark or AR will work, will get one if they do, but don't want to spend cash if it won't work. Any advice would be appreciated.

you can't do it with the memory card exploit.
