After backing up my dvd using shink it's jurking on tracks. I have shut down all tool bar icons and still have the same problem. I even went as far as building a new 64 bit mech. thanking this would solve the problem even went with 1 gig. of ram but still have the same problem. Can anyone help me? I'm running windows xp professional

A little information would be useful.

What program are you using to burn (DVD
Shrink does not burn - it uses a third party program such as DVD Decrypter or Nero to burn).

What brand of media are you using?

What is your ripping/encoding process - ISO or VOB?

Are you burning to + or - format?

What is the make/model of your DVD Burner?

Is your burner internal or external?

How much RAM do you have?

How much available hard disk space do you have?

Do you use labels on your burnt DVD's?

A little more information may allow others to assist.

I'm using Nero 6 with all the latest updates and dvd shink and as far as the VOB that I don't no. Thanks for the reply

In a follow up on what been posted to help me no I don't us dvd covers I was but stopped think that this might be one of my problems. I'm burning on a + burner. I have a 120 gig. hard drive and only 20.+ has been used. I have 1 gig of ram. My burner is internal. My dvd burner is a Khypermedia it will read ( 8x/4x/8x)

Problems with jurking/skipping/freezing are normally associated with poor quality media.

You have not told us what type of media you are using - if it is Khypermedia it is probably junk.

Ritek or Verbatim media recommend by most members of these forums.

It may also be advisable to reduce your target size in Shrink to approx 4300Mb.
