Hi,I am using Windows XP with DVD Shrink 3.2 and I encounter a problem with this message:

"DVD Shrink encountered an Error and cannot continue.

Copy Protection error.

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device Error."

The strange part is,when I reboot my laptop, I can shrink 1 DVD with no problems, but when I try to shirnk a 2nd dvd, it gives me that message. SO, in order for me to shrink the next dvd, I have to reboot my computer. I don't think it is a "Copy Protection Error" because I can shrink the DVD, that is if I reboot the computer. I really do not want to reboot my laptop after ripping 1 dvd everytime. Could this be hardware issue or memmory? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Thank you for the advise. I should have been more clear. I meant to say when I try to shrink a different DVD, I get that error message.

Try upgrading your ASPI layer. I used Adaptec on my computer.

Also there are some DVDs that shrink cannot rip. Try ripping it with Decrypter or using another disc for the same movie.
