So whats the deal any game over 4.7 GB i would need to burn it on a dual layer dvd? I only have a Single Layer DVD burner. What is the exact size of a game that i can burn onto a single layer DVD+R without it not fitting?

dual layer burns dont work with swap magic if thats what you have. go to swapmagicfix.com, they have a few instructions as to how to go about splitting a dvd9 game to two dvd5's. a dvd5 is 4.7 gigs, but you have to know exactly which files need to go on which disk in order for it to work. if the game you're interested in isnt on the swapmagicfix list, then you have your work cut out for you.
