Okay read the posts about speeding up bit torrent. Got stuck on the stickied post where it says input your IP address in a web browser and input "admin" 2x (I tried 3 times and got error 401 or something). Anyway it seems like enabling ports 6881-6889 is the key to increasing my speed. Can anybody tell me how to get to the point where I can adjust these ports? I have a netgear wireless G router but it was adjusted/setup recently by a Computer Science friend who I have since lost contact with so I'm scared to do anything that might cost me my wireless connection. Any help would be appreciated. I don't think I'll be needing a certain file after 43203 hours have elapsed.

This may sound stupid, but i know you can change the ports on your torrent client settings.
