Subtitles are not displayed right way on TV playback

Got a problem with the playback of my DVD.

I converted the AVI to DVD and the subtitles to sup files.
Auth the dvd with ifoedit and played the new made DVD with windvd.

And during windvd it gave me no problems Video k, ac3 sound k, and subtitles k.

I burned it with NERO and did it in my JVC DVD-Player, everything works except that the subtiles are screwed.

The prob is, it justs skips lines, its not really out of sync.
It shows a line but it stays to long on the screen and in that time new lines should have appeard

Anyone knows of this prob?
