Can I backup my Ps2 games with this?

Hi, I have:

-Lite-On Dvd+Rw 8x
-Memorex 8x dvd+r
-Matrix Infinity(PLanning to buy)
-V4 PS2
-Dvd Decrypter

I have all the necessary things but I don't know if my modded Ps2 with the Matrix Infinity will accept dvd+r backups or does it only accept dvd-r. I heard I have to use dvd-r but also heard dvd+r can be used. Can anyone tell me if dvd+r work for a matrix modded ps2 v4?

My v4 ps2 with SwapMagic liked +r's, but some v4's can only play -r's. I'd say try what you have, and if you can't get it to run, try the other. Also, loads of people have trouble with memorex media, low quality. Also, i'd say you wouldn't need media above 4x burning for ps2 games, I keep my burning at 1x.

Ok, i can buy other dvd+r, what I want to know is if my matrix infinity modded ps2 v4 will take my dvd+r backups?

I don't use modchips myself, but from what i understand, if you make a successful backup, the chip will read it fine. The problem is the ps2 itself sometimes can't read +r media. Usually around v5 and later can handle both, but v4's sometimes only take -r and some can handle both.
