Problem with getting movie to play

Recently, a friend gave me an early xmas present. It was a movie, but I cant get the movie to play. Its on my comp, he gave me 2 discs and I was told to copy them to my harddrive, and...well...It says some things about VCD in the folders...I'm really not sure how to describe it, there are four folders for each disc. CDI, EXT, MPEGAV, and VCD. I know that VCD's are supposed to be put onto cds, but I dont have any blank ones at the moment...Is there anyway I could just get it to play on my computer? Thanks
