WIN/MX download problems

I've been using this free music file sharing service for service for about 3 years now and generally been very happy. Am using the most recent version 3.53.

However, of late I am noting that more and more songs either will not download and/or get disconnected after the download starts.

Searching the net it appears that WIN/MX is now hooked up with someone or offering a lifetime membership itself for about $40 US, although there is no mention of it on their actual www.winmx.com website.

Having said that, it still allows me to download free, but with the previously mentioined problem.

Have any other WIN/MX users experienced this change? Any ideas as to how to fix? Perhaps my settings aren't correct?

I'm in Canada., eh.
