xpert dvd maker usb2!!!

Hi to all!I have the xpert dvd maker usb 2 for about 3 days and finally yestreday i tried to capture from vcr to svcd!! It's amazing gadget!!! My question is that when i used the mpeg editor to put a title to the video i had to reencode the file!! So i left the pc to make the procedure and i was near!! Suddenly just for a sec i thing i saw a black screen during it's operation and i don't know if it was a dos screen that flashed( part of the sw??) or black screen for other reason!!!Did any of you faced that issue with this software so as to focus if there is a problem??

pc config: P4 3, 512 MB ram, 80 gig WD, windows xp pro!!
