hi all and hope you all have a great xmas

well this is my first post and i hope you will be gentle,
i have attempted to chip my xbox with the executer 2.6 and have done the wire install,and i used flashbios 3.0.1 ,1mb in total now this is where the probs have started ;(
im now getting the flashing of the eject button red and green and an error message about contacting xbox services and code error 05 - which i believe to be hdd is unlocked so i cant do anything with it , question is have i fooked it up or is there hope for me -and if so whats my next course of action thx for your help

hey man hows it going i think i may have had the same problem it has been a while. but yeah try locking the hard drive, and going from there? if that doesnt work then just get in contact from where you bought the modchip from, they should have a live support thing. (if they dont) i think it is modchip man, www.modchipman.com they have a live support thing that is like a java irc channel and you can talk with one of the xperts in there really helpful i solved my problem working 24-7 for 1 day on there. Turned out all i had to do was tighten one screw. Yeah any other question be glad to help, ill have to re research this stuff n try to remember what i did.

how do i lock the hard drive is it another app i need i got config magic but how do i use it - cheers for your reply prestonz

k i had the cromwell bios already my chip when i bought it and that had a lock or unlock option, when you first get a sucsusful start up with the chip in the bios should show up,(If you got this far you have a good install) if you have an upgraded hd (not the xbox original) then this could be your problem. Also i belive you should have three switches you want CHIP ENABLED, HARD DRIVE LOCKED, and FLASH PROTECT. (all green lights). If you never got the flash bios to show up then you did something wrong on the install. if you have anymore questions, :) im still here. lates biff.
