Happy Holidays to All! Noob on the horn here. Just started sharing again after a long rest, pretty much haven't liked much since OG Napster....Was having problems with LOWID for a while. I have verizon dsl w/westell modem and a linksys wireless router so I can go wireless w/laptop and hardwire for desktop. I was running modem to wrouter to desktop. Switched to USB from modem to desktop and the ethernet cable from modem to wrouter. Now I have HIGHID on desktop and life is so much better, can still surf with laptop without a problem. Maybe this will help some one out there.
Now my questions
Is quality compromised when compressing an iso file with win zip? Is there a size limit on compressing files, for instance an iso of 4.5 gb, with win rar like there is with win zip? Or is it all the same and depends on the FAT 16 or 32 stuff? Are win zip and win rar like nero demo where you really never have to buy the actual software you can get by with the demo?
Well that's all for now. I appreciate any help and thank you in advance. Happy holidays to all and don't forget to eat, drink, and be Merry!

What I meant about winzip and win rar being like the Nero demo, the burning software, is does the demo expire at the end of each month and need to be un, then, reinstalled. I know I've been using the same winzip demo forever but win rar is new to me. Also what do you think of win ace? Just trying to make sure I do things right the first time, thanks again in advance.
I got you with the demo now
yeah My winrar is 40 days approval
I used both winrar and winace when I started and just prefereed winrar in the end because I found it easier to use and had more actions that I liked
its a good programme I personally just prefer winrar
