Hi, I just joined this site and this is my first post. Thank you to all who posted links and instructions for the MPT software. I downloaded 1.23 and the 2.16 update and then did the live update to the latest 3.1x. Everything works perfectly as far as a I can tell so far, although I just started playing with it yesterday. I have a few questions about the V220. My previous phone is a StarTac 7797 so this is a major leap in technology, cellphone wise, for me...so please excuse any dumb questions.

First, I see on Motorola's website that the phone has MPEG4 playback ability. I've been trying to tranfer a short video to the phone with the software and cannot get it to transfer, it always says unsupported format. I tried MPEG4, 3gp and 3g2 and have been unsuccessful tranferring any of them to the phone. The video is only 45KB in 3gp format. It's 295KB in MPEG4. I'm aware of the small amount of memory in the phone, but I have enough free space left easily. Anyone have any ideas on how to transfer it?

Next, I have read thru most of the threads here on this phone and the MPT software, and there is much mention of a P2K file or driver or tools. I never downloaded this and everything seems to work without it as far as I can tell so far. What is P2K?

Will any car charger or 12V car cord work on this phone as long as the plug fits and is the right polarity. Is it just 12V straight in, or is there some special circuitry in the part that plugs into the power outlet. Can I just take my StarTac fast charger cord and put a new plug on the end of it? Can I just use any straight thru car cord (TV, flashlight etc.) with the right plug on the phone end?

Is the charger that came with the phone a fast charger or overnight charger, the book didn't say. What fast chargers are available for this phone, any recomendations or comments?

FWIW, if you have any ampersands in the names of any of your pictures, the MPT software won't be able to show your phone's side of the screen in the multimedia part of the software (at least in my case). I reloaded the software about 4 times and went crazy trying to figure out what's wrong before I found out about that on the software's website. I even tried to load the RAR 3.11 version straight off but it has too many errors and was incompatible with my ATI software for some reason, it tried to share some dll files or they had the same names and it malfunctioned, so I went back to the 1.23, 2.16, live update method.
